We love dogs at the Royal Copenhagen Inn and know that for many of our guests, a getaway just wouldn't be the same without their four-legged family members.

We offer a limited number of designated pet-friendly rooms, so please let us know in advance when your dog will be joining you. Our pet fee is $25 per pet, per night, with a maximum of two pets per room.

Discover the Secret Garden

Tucked away behind the Inn is a special spot just for our four-legged guests—The Secret Garden.

This safe, enclosed area gives your dog a convenient place to stretch their legs, explore, play or take a bathroom break without having to leave the property. It's especially nice for that first trip outside in the morning or one last outing before bedtime.

And when you're ready to explore together, our location in the heart of Solvang makes it easy to head out the door and enjoy a walk through the village.

A Few Things to Know Before You Arrive

Because we have a limited number of designated pet-friendly rooms, advance notice is required. Please tell us you'll be traveling with a pet when making your reservation so we can make sure an appropriate room is available.

Guests arriving with an unregistered pet may be subject to additional cleaning fees or, if a designated pet-friendly room is unavailable, we may unfortunately be unable to accommodate the pet.

Traveling to Solvang with Your Dog

A little planning can make traveling with your dog easier for everyone. Before leaving home, make sure your dog's identification information is current and pack the familiar things that will help them feel at home while they're away.

On longer drives, plan regular stops so your dog can stretch, get some water and take a bathroom break. Once you arrive, give them a little time to get comfortable with their new surroundings before heading out to explore.

And remember—Solvang is a walking town, so bring a comfortable leash and be ready to discover the village together!

What to Bring for Your Four-Legged Traveler

A few things we recommend packing:

• Collar or harness with current identification
• Leash
• Your dog's regular food and treats
• Food and water bowls
• Any medications your dog may need
• Vaccination and important medical information
• Waste bags
• A favorite bed, blanket or toy to make the room feel familiar
• A towel for muddy or wet paws
• A recent photo of your dog, just in case you become separated
• A portable crate or kennel if your dog is accustomed to one

And, of course, don't forget their favorite human.
